The market as a whole was a great place for a group with different palates. Myself and one other gal chose the Fish Guys for lunch. (The meat case looked amazing, but I'm not local and didn't have a kitchen in the hotel) I was very pleased with the lobster roll and added the daily special of shrimp cocktail. Delicious! Great value for the price as well.

This lobster roll is not worth it. All I taste is the mayonnaise and for $17 they are not generous at all. Would not buy again.

The Lobster Roll was $17. I understand that lobster is expensive l, but that's quite pricey for a sandwich. Probably the most expensive roll in town. Had to try it though and it was delicious. It's a lot of lobster. Friendly service as well (which is pretty much the norm at The North Market).

I was sooo excited to eat here. I love fish markets that serves food.
I didn't know what to get. The catfish burger or the lobster roll. I hesitated and I got the lobster roll. It's $17!!!!!! Holy moly. Wasn't it $13/15 before?
Anywho. That's all I got from here because I asked about oysters and the guy said they shuck them depending how busy it is. Note I was the only customer there at the time. Then he said lunch was about to start so he probably wouldn't shuck them. Then the worker next to him said something about "a few". Not sure but the guy servicing me gave him this no facial expression and body language. Then said "I got this". Then went back to me. So I didn't get any oysters. The whole thing didn't make sense. So I was ticked off about that. Was he discriminating?
I got my lobster roll. Paid. Tipped. Then went somewhere else to eat. Didn't see any tables there.
First impressions of the lobster roll. Chunky!!! Huge pieces of lobster. They stuffed it really well. But as another reviewer said, too much mayonnaise! I love mayo but that's all I could taste, the mayonnaise. The roll was still good. Lobster was good but I got sick of it after a while but I did finish most of it! It was actually still a pretty light roll.
Should've tried the catfish burger. -

I have an admission to make...
I would typically NEVER pay $17 for a sandwich. Especially one without any sides.
With one exception - the Lobster Roll from the Fish Guys at the North Market.
If I'm in town and the market is open, I'm gladly forking over the $17. Every time.
I've had lobster rolls in New England, and this one is right up there with the best of them. They also have a tremendous selection of seafood, especially considering Columbus is a landlocked city in Ohio.
